Added: VC News:WII-KLY UPDATE: THREE NEW CLASSIC GAMES ADDED TO WII SHOP CHANNEL
Nintendo has some Virtual Console news and here is some of it: "December 31, 2007 - What are you doing New Year's Eve? Thanks to the Wii Shop Channel, you've got some outrageous new options. This week's classic game additions offer brilliant fantasy and crackling action to help you ring in '08. So if you haven't made any New Year's resolutions yet, allow us to suggest a few: pop more bubbles, battle more medieval beasts and try to save the universe a little more often.
Three new classic games go live at 9 a.m. Pacific time. Nintendo adds new games to the Wii Shop Channel every Monday. Wii owners with a high-speed Internet connection can redeem Wii Points to download the games. Wii Points can be purchased in the Wii Shop Channel or at retail outlets. This week's new games are:
BUBBLE BOBBLE® (NES®, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone, 500 Wii Points): BUBBLE BOBBLE's release in 1986 introduced the two bubble dragons, Bub and Bob, and brand new play mechanics, with players defeating enemies by trapping them in bubbles and then popping them. Although the puzzle-action game can be beaten by clearing all 100 rounds, it also contains secret elements such as not being able to get the "true ending" in single-player mode; hidden commands that lead to secret rounds; and a ton of different items. These elements are some of the game's most memorable and important features. Each round even has different air currents that are not visible, so bubbles rise in unpredictable patterns. Aspects like forcing players to understand and utilize these different patterns while playing help make this a revolutionary game that is fun to play anytime." Nintendo has some Virtual Console news and here is some of it: "If you hear a rumbling on the roof tonight, don't assume that it's reindeer when there are gorillas on the loose. Yes, this week's merry Wii Shop Channel lineup includes a classic adventure title to entertain every reveler in your household, from the nicest to the naughtiest. Plus, you'll find a wicked-cool dose of ice hockey action and a thrilling secret-agent sequel to help keep spirits bright all winter long. You were expecting lumps of coal? Sorry-maybe next year.

Wii owners with a high-speed Internet connection can redeem Wii Points to download the games. Wii Points can be purchased in the Wii Shop Channel or at retail outlets. This week's new games are: "I am going to do something that i don't normally do and show the game i like from these 3: "Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble (Super NES®, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone, 800 Wii Points): Revisit Donkey Kong Island and join the Kong family for their latest adventure. The Kremlings have a mysterious new leader named KAOS and are up to their usual mischief, even capturing Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong. Now it's up to Dixie Kong and the newest Kong, a giant infant named Kiddy, to rescue the two missing apes. They'll travel across previously unseen parts of the island in their search, and even take to the skies in a rocket at one point. Lucky for them, Dixie and Kiddy's powers complement each other (including Kiddy's talent for rolling like a barrel), so they form a powerful team capable of major Kremling damage. They're not completely on their own, either, since returning favorites like Funky Kong and Enguarde the swordfish provide help along the way. And in a series known for its abundance of secrets and high replay value, this entry doesn't disappoint, with enough hours of game play to satisfy Donkey Kong himself. Anyone else have a sudden urge for some bananas?" You can see the other 2 Games from Nintendo's Press Room above.
I hope everyone has a great Christmas Eve today. If i don't get to update later today with today's VC Games then vheck your Wii Shop Channels.Because my Internet is still acting messed up every now and again. If i do get to you'll know any way Happy Christmas Eve to all and to all a Donkey Kong Country 3 Good night.

Added: VC Rumor:Jsnake has listed 3 new VC Games for Christmas EVE
Jsnake from Nsider2 has listed 3 Rumored VC Games for Christmas Eve and here they are: "BLADES OF STEEL (NES®, 1-2 players, Rated E for EveryoneMild Violence, 500 Wii Points): With stick in hand and confidence brimming, you are looking to bring home the cup, win the MVP award, get on the covers of major sports magazines and date a beautiful model (not necessarily in that order). But soon you will learn that, in this league, nothing is ever given to you, and before you can reach your goals, youll have to put the puck in the net and score some. Youll need both the artful skills of a finesse player and the bone-crushing brutality of an enforcer. Defend your own goal against unrelenting power plays, or put the pressure on your opponents goalie and try a slap shot of your own. Dont forget to defend yourself when anger flares because the gloves come off and fists start flying. So strap on blades of steel and prepare to either make a name for yourself or be put on ice.
Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kongs Double Trouble (Super NES®, 1-2 players, Rated E for Everyone, 800 Wii Points): Revisit Donkey Kong Island and join the Kong family for their latest adventure. The Kremlings have a mysterious new leader named KAOS and are up to their usual mischief, even capturing Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong. Now its up to Dixie Kong and the newest Kong, a giant infant named Kiddy, to rescue the two missing apes. Theyre not completely on their own, either, since returning favorites like Funky Kong and Enguarde the swordfish provide help along the way. And in a series known for its abundance of secrets and high replay value, this entry doesnt disappoint, with enough hours of game play to satisfy Donkey Kong himself. Anyone else have a sudden urge for some bananas?
Rolling Thunder 2 (Genesis, 1-2 players, Rated E for EveryoneViolence, 800 Wii Points): In this follow-up to the original classic, you are once again a member of Interpols Rolling Thunder task force, and its up to you to stop the return of the evil Geldra organization. Now known as Neo-Geldra and led by a newcomer named Gimdo, the bad guys are bent on destroying several valuable outer-space satellites. In this one- or two-player game, you can play as Leila or Albatrossboth characters from the originalas you venture through several different levels, trying to put a stop to the nefarious efforts of Gimdo and the rest of Neo-Geldra. Use your bullets wisely and make Rolling Thunder proud." You can read about the other 2 come this Monday if this is true.Until then take this with a Grain of Salt.Since this is a Rumor i won't add it to the News Feed.

IGN has an editorial about the Wii's System Memory useage and here is some of it: "A few days ago, Nintendo kindly gifted me a copy of the Virtual Console N64 title, Pokemon Snap, using Wii's new gift system. Eager to try out Snap's additional Wii functionality you can take photos and send them to friends over the Wii Message Board -- I booted up my console and clicked on the gift mailing, which intuitively launched the Wii Shop Channel and took me to the Pokemon Snap download page. I tried to download the game and encountered an all-too-common occurrence on my system as it exists today: I couldn't, for the simple reason that I'm out of memory. There was never a lot to go around, but what was there is all used up, and these days every new download must come at the expense of another." You can read the rest of this from IGN above.
Bul from Nsider 2 has next weeks's VC Game releases and here they are: "Monster Lair, Alien Storm, and Cybernator" If you don't believe me then go to post number 14 and to make your search shorter i will link you to Nsider2's When time does... Thread.
IGN has some more Wii news and here is some of it: "The Nintendo Wii is currently the only gaming system unable to give players the ability to voice chat over the internet. Though a few games have been released on the Wii featuring online play, none allow players to converse through them. It's a frustrating limitation.
During a question and answer session in a Nintendo conference call this morning, Reggie Fils-Aime addressed this issue.
According to Fils-Aime, the system is clearly capable of this function, and Nintendo is constantly adding and tweaking features of the Wii system through system updates. The issue boils down to locking down the specific technologies and getting the specific peripheral to allow voice chatting." can read the rest of this from IGN above.
IGN has some Wii news and here is some of it: "In a conference call this morning, Nintendo's Reggie Fils-Aime revealed a plan to get Wii systems in the hands of frustrated consumers still unable to get ahold of the elusive system.
Fils-Aime revealed that the company has partnered with GameStop to distribute rain check certificates. Consumers can buy a certificate on December 20th and 21st for the full price of the Wii system, securing a system for pick-up in January." You can read the rest of this from IGN above.
IGN has some Namco news and here is some of it: "The non-game is about to meet the game thanks to Bandai Namco's latest Japanese DS title. Unveiled in this week's Famitsu, Our Videogame Quiz attempts to test your skills as a gamer." You can read the rest of this from IGN above.
IGN has some Nintendo sales news and here is some of it: "Videogame software sales tracker NPD Group released November data and, unsurprisingly, Nintendo's DS handheld and Wii home console held the number-one and two spots respectively. More than 1.5 million gamers picked up the DS in November and about 981,000 players picked up a Wii, according to NPD data. Microsoft's Xbox 360 console pulled in another 770,000 gamers; PlayStation Portable 567,000; PlayStation 2 496,000 and PlayStation 3 466,000." You can read the rest of this from IGN above.
