Added: News:Red Steel Officially Announced News:More Revolution Games from Ubisoft News:Ubisoft Montreal CEO Talks Plans for Revolution, E3 2006 News: 1up hints Revolution game previews will be coming soon... Email:Nintendo's Webform News:E-mail i sent to Nintendo has been answered
I sent in a few questions to Nintendo and here is there reply:
Hello Nintendo fan! Thank you for your e-mail. We certainly appreciate your enthusiasm and support.
There has been a lot of speculation and comparison among gamers--and the gaming press--regarding the next generation of systems and the Nintendo Revolution in particular. It's a natural by-product of the anticipation and excitement generated as we anxiously await their release. However, Nintendo hasn't yet revealed the details you mentioned, or detailed specifications, price point, specific games, release date, or a complete feature set for the Nintendo Revolution.
Rest assured that all will be made known in the months leading up to the official unveiling of the system through official press releases. Keep checking www.nintendo.com/revolution for all the latest information!
Also, just so you know, there are countless websites on the Internet that post Nintendo news and information. Many of these independent websites take the liberty of posting news based on rumors, speculation, or assumptions--and that is just fine. We understand that Nintendo fans are eager for as much new information as possible!
However, as a publicly traded company in Japan, Nintendo has a responsibility to those who rely on us as a manufacturer (retailers, suppliers, employees, stockholders, etc.) to be the most accurate source of information on the latest Nintendo products. Only when information is official can we comment on it. Many new product announcements are shared with the public at E3, the world's biggest annual video game trade show. Information about Nintendo products shown at E3 is always added to www.nintendo.com and is a great source for official information on upcoming products.
The information fans will see on our official website will always be confirmed, reliable information from official Nintendo sources and press releases. Although officially confirmed information can still change from time to time (like product release dates), Nintendo's own websites will be the most current official source for all Nintendo news and information.
We also strive to provide as much information as possible on our website about upcoming games and accessories that are made by other companies and licensed for use with our systems. However, because these products are not produced or sold by Nintendo, we may not have all of the latest details. In these cases, we recommend that fans visit the website for the actual company who produces the product in question, or contact them directly for the latest news.
Thank you again for taking the time to send us a message. Have fun with your games, and remember, the best play here!
