Nintendo's Press Room has some DS Gaming service news and here is some of it: "Nintendo® Wi-Fi Connection has crossed two huge milestones within just days of one another. Worldwide, since its launch in November 2005, Nintendo's wireless gaming service has now connected more than 5 million unique Nintendo DS™ owners, and those gamers have racked up more than 200 million game-play sessions. Worldwide, nearly 65 games can be played via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. The five most popular globally are Animal Crossing®: Wild World, Mario Kart® DS, Metroid® Prime Hunters, Pokémon® Diamond and Pokémon Pearl. 
 
"Nintendo DS gamers globally use Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection as an easy, fun place to find fellow players, all without paying anything extra for the service," explains Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime. "The milestones represent millions of hours of fun and camaraderie despite miles between players." 
 
Nintendo DS continues to enjoy record-breaking success. According to new figures from the independent NPD Group, DS was again the top-selling video game system in April, with more than 470,000 units sold in the United States alone. IGN has some Bandai news and here is some of it: "Following about a billion installments on the PS2, Bandai's massive, and massively popular, anime mechs seem to have their targets set on a new system, the Wii. IGN has some Ubisoft news and here is some of it: "Publisher Ubisoft was one of the first third parties to recognize the potential of Nintendo's Wii console and back the platform with a wealth of titles. The company's headlining launch games, Red Steel and Rayman Raving Rabbids, were both exclusively created for Wii and have in the six months since they released each become million-sellers around the world. However, many of the developer's other efforts - all of them quick and unimpressive ports of previously released games on other systems - have faired poorly both from a critical and retail perspective. In an interview with leading German news magazine Spiegel, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot and European head Alain Corre admitted that the publisher was too quick to rush these titles to the market." IGN has some Gamecock news and here is some of it: "Newly-formed publisher Gamecock has announced that its upcoming title Mushroom Men will be waging war on the Nintendo Wii and DS. The game promises to make use of the unique control schemes of each system. Mushroom Men was announced along with Gamecock's formation in February, but at the time the platforms that would grow the fungi were a mystery. IGN has some Virtual Console news and here is some of it: "Nintendo UK has unveiled the most downloaded Virtual Console games on Wii and, although we've only got the top five, it's dominated by classic Mario titles from NES, Super NES and N64 - unsurprisingly, some may say." Joystiq has some TGS news and here is some of it: "The Tokyo Game Show has announced their theme for the 2007 show, which will be "Being Connected, Spreading to the World" ... at least according to our handy translator." You can read the rest of this from Joystiq above. 
I will be covering the Super Smash Bros. Brawl Updates on The Brawl Arena because i will be covering more then just it's Screenshots like i would here.Don't worry tho Zelda 101 will have the Game Codes and Action Replay Codes and i will be linking the 2 sections to both here and TBA for short like i have a few sections already.But only if it relates to Super Smash Bros. Brawl so you know. 
IGN has reviewed Mario Party 8 and here is some of it: "Mario Party 8 is a noteworthy arrival on Wii because it marks the first Nintendo-published project that does not run in 16:9 widescreen mode. To our knowledge, this hasn't happened since the days of GameCube and quite possibly with the previous Mario Party outing. To its credit though, the game's title screen and main menu both run in full widescreen, but as soon as any sort of gameplay begins, everything transpires in 4:3 with superimposed bars. Good stuff, and by that we mean just the opposite." I will be the first here to say Wow because the Reader Average for this game is a 7.8.I will have to play this one to see which one i agree with.You can read the rest of this from IGN above tho.

Nintendo's Press Room has some Mario Party 8 news and here is some of it: "Nintendo is bringing the carnival to town, and this time the party is going to get players up and moving. Mario Party® 8 is the first Mario Party game for Wii™ from Nintendo, and the first in the series to incorporate motion controls. 
 
In this carnival-themed excursion, players might use the Wii Remote™ to punch the air to chip away at a statue, point it at the screen to shoot at targets or balance it like a tightrope walker's pole. The amazing functions of the Wii Remote add a new level of hilarious competition. This new Mario Party installment includes new boards, characters, moves and minigames." Go Nintendo has some Nintendo Power news and here it is: "GI: There’s also some speculation in what’s going to happen with Nintendo Power. What’s the deal with that publication? 
 
Kaplan: It’s going to be licensed, but it’s going to remain a magazine. 
 
GI: So it’s going to be licensed and sold to another publisher? 
 
Kaplan: We will be announcing that soon. Details forthcoming. Nintendo Power’s licensed property is moving to New York. That doesn’t mean that the owner will be in New York. You can connect those dots if you want to. We’ll still own it, but it’s a licensed property." IGN has some Virtual Console news for UK gamers and here is some of it: "With a familiar boing and whoop for joy, Mario makes his return to the Virtual Console this week in one of the more controversial titles starring the happy-go-lucky moustachioed plumber - Super Mario Bros. 2." IGN has some Ubisoft news and here is some of it: "Ubisoft is one of the first third parties to utilize the connection features of the DS and Wii. In My Word Coach for Nintendo's handheld and console, you can actually control the Wii version of the title using the DS and you don't even need to buy the handheld build of the game to do it. After a very brief handshaking process lasting roughly two seconds, you're able to draw letters on the DS screen and they appear immediately on your television through the Wii incarnation." IGN has some Lego Star Wars news and here is some of it: "We knew it was coming, but today Traveller's Tales officially announced that LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga would be making its way to "next-generation" game consoles this fall. Players will be able to experience all of the block-sized Star Wars action with an added bonus of new characters, levels, and features on the Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360. Nintendo's Press Room has a Virtual Console update and here is some of it: "The elves mining Nintendo's vaults for classic games have unearthed three new ones to add to the Wii Shop Channel. They feature ragers, lasers and, um, monkeys not in cages. Anyway, it's unlikely that you've played all three of these, so go ahead and check 'em out. Or the elves will cry. 
 
The three new classic games go live at 9 a.m. Pacific time. Nintendo adds new games to the channel every Monday. Wii owners with a high-speed Internet connection can redeem Wii Points™ to download the games. Wii Points can be purchased in the Wii Shop Channel or at retail outlets. This week's new games are: 
 
Donkey Kong Country 2™: Diddy's Kong Quest™ (SNES®, 1-2 players, 800 Wii Points): In the sequel to the immensely popular Donkey Kong Country™, Diddy Kong® gets the spotlight, along with his girlfriend, Dixie Kong™ - a great little monkey with a dangerous ponytail. Go Nintendo has some The Bigs news and to refresh you it is a baseball game coming to the PS2,PS3,PSP,X-Box 360, and Nintendo's Wii and here is some of it: "2K Sports, a publishing label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO), announced today that Albert Pujols, St. Louis Cardinals All-Star first baseman and power hitter, will be the cover athlete for The BIGS. IGN has some Virtual Console news and here is some of it: "Friday, another set of Virtual Console releases for Wii! What's on the menu today? IGN has some Wii and DS sales news from Japan and here is some of it: "It's becoming a familiar tune, and it's one we really don't mind hearing. Once again, Nintendo is topping the videogame charts in Japan, producing a pinnacle of payload payoff for both Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii. As reported by Japan's Weekly Famitsu magazine (the top source of gaming info in Japan), April 23 - 29 was all about Nintendo once again, as software sales continue to dominate on both the handheld and console fronts. Though specific numbers aren't given, the magazine reported on the top ten list for software sales. The game is called Counter Force, it's being published by Conspiracy Entertainment, and it received an E+10 rating from the ESRB due to "violence," according to the website."
