About Camp Hyrule

What is Camp Hyrule? It's Nintendo's biggest online event of the year! Camp Hyrule is a FREE virtual online summer camp where video game fanatics can become immersed in the world of Nintendo.

Each and every registered camper is assigned to a virtual cabin, where he or she can meet other gamers and interact with Nintendo's gameplay experts in exclusive Camp Hyrule chat rooms and message boards. Daily events include live chat shows, games, art activities and a bus-load of surprises from the Nintendo universe.

If you like to talk about video games, play practical jokes, and rub elbows with Nintendo's expert gamers, then pull out the tanning lotion and get ready to meet new friends at Nintendo's Camp Hyrule 2005.

What do you do there?
Traditional Camp Hyrule activities and events are famous. To really experience it, just plan on signing up and checking it out yourself. In the past, campers have had the opportunity to:

Daily events include live chat shows, games, art activities and a bus-load of surprises from the Nintendo universe. This year campers can participate in cool activities based on exciting Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance games like The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Nintendogs, Mario Kart DS, Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness and lots more! If you like to talk about video games, play practical jokes, and rub elbows with Nintendo's expert gamers, then pull out the bug spray and get ready to meet new friends at Nintendo's Camp Hyrule 2005. Coming the week of August 15, 2005.

Explore the camp through a map.
Be assigned to a cabin with NOA camp counselors.
Compete with other cabins and teams by earning points.
Play exclusive Camp Hyrule games (some are camp-based, others are Nintendo-based).
Participate in chats and message boards with other campers and NOA camp counselors.
Chat with special guests.
Vote fellow campers for camp awards.

How old is Camp Hyrule?
The first Camp Hyrule took place in August 1995. Camp Hyrule 2005 will be the eleventh Camp Hyrule! You might run into a few campers who have attended camp every single year.

How long does it last and when does it take place?
Camp lasts about a week and takes place in August. Keep an eye on the official Camp Hyrule website and at the NSider Bulletin Board for future announcements. It will take place the date is set for august 15 2005.

What do I need to do to attend Camp Hyrule?
You'll need to register for the event and be available in August when Camp Hyrule is happening. If school starts for you during that time, you can still participate in the late afternoon. You don't have to be at Camp Hyrule all day or all week to participate in at least some of the events. You'll receive more details about age and registration requirements when you sign up.

When and where can I register?
Traditionally, registration takes place in late July or early August. It will open at the official Camp Hyrule website. The registration is July 26th - july 28th so sign up. Visit the official site regularly to check for updates. Registration usually opens between the early morning and afternoon of the first registration day.
